The Kambos of Chios is the ideal place for a romantic walk within its mysterious and enigmatic stone paths. In every corner you can see monuments of great historical value. In every moment you are surrounded by rich orchards of orange, clementine and lemon trees. Within this valley of green, the only sounds that can break the silence are the sweet songs of the birds living in the area.
The mountains of Chios present great interest for those sportsmen and sportswomen who wish to go hiking. The "pelineon" mountain (1275mt) in the north part of Chios has beautiful paths for hiking and/or climbing and will provide the best panoramic view of the island to those that will step their foot on the top!
Chios road network is in good condition and allows visiting almost all remote beaches and villages. If you dont bring your own car, there are many offices where you can rent a car, a motorbike or a bicycle.
The beaches of Chios are made of white sand and crystal clear waters. The sea temperature during the summer is at 23-25 degrees Celcius thus allowing many hours of snorkelling, freediving and Scuba diving. You can bring your own equipment or you can rent one from the island.
For those with a difficult taste in food, Chios has to offer a variety of restautants and tavernas with local and international specialities.
Except those seeking a quite place for their vacation, the island can serve also the young and restless! Many bars and clubs in the town of Chios stay open until the sunrise playing pop and dance music.
